Laura Leigh Wayman the setting's Proprietor and Manager is honored to announce that she has been approached to be a Young Ambassador for the Princes Trust and will begin working with them from Spring 2014, as part of this she will be giving monthly speeches as one of the Trusts 'Inspirational Speakers'.

Managing Director, Laura Leigh Wayman has been named as part of the North East Regional Short-list, the Ceremony will be held 26-Nov-15 at the SAGE Gateshead.
If successful on this night, Laura may be short-listed for the National Celebrate Success Awards in London in 2016, where HRH is likely to attend with a host of other celebrities too.

WINNER- Best Use of Innovation Award
Managing Director Laura Leigh Wayman from Child’s Play Private Nursery and her team have continued to build on their award winning year when they went to the ‘North East Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awards’ at the Plaza hotel, Newcastle on Friday 13th November 2015.
This was the 16th year that this prestigious award ceremony will take place. Eagerly anticipated by women entrepreneurs all over the North East of England is a great chance to showcase their hard work and achievements during the previous twelve months.
Receiving a WIN Award will not only ensure organisations will have the kudos of being an award winning organisation, but it will also be an opportunity to showcase their company and its expertise amongst your contemporaries thus further encouraging others to follow in their example. It is also an opportunity to benchmark your businessnesses against others, sharpen the focus of business and its activities, learn from other organisations and very importantly motivate and reward your colleagues.
A WIN Award is a major accolade that could really open doors for women in business in the North East of England.
A heartland of industry and innovation in the North Est has a long heritage of launching new products and processes into the world. The Best Use of Innovation Award recognises Laura Leigh Wayman as the 2015 winner. Laura has created truly disruptive innovation, creating new products, processes, services and or/ business models: Celebrating her innovative web developments on her nursery website, which allow families and parents of her nursery 24/7 access to an innovative online login domain. The e-portal system on the website means parents are more involved and informed about their child’s progress and development. By logging in with their username and password, parents can read observation’s made by nursery staff about their child, comment on their progress and upload their own images from a mobile or computer wherever they are. Child’s Play website also boasts numerous other features aimed at encouraging parents and families, including a feedback form and advice sheets. (These innovative were also celebrated back in September at the 2015 Nursery World Awards)
Owner and Manager Laura Leigh Wayman commented “I am absolutely over the moon that this year’s judging panel have recognised the innovative work that we are doing, it took a year to plan the online portal and get it live- but what a major success it has been, to date we have shared over 3,000 files with our families and received almost 500 home learning images from them which have impacted upon the learning provocations the staff provide in the nursery. I am still astounded we have family members from Italy logging into see their children’s learning journey photos and observations. Words cannot describe how humbled and honoured I am that our work have been recognised in two major award events this year.”
